This qualification is suitable for senior care assistants and team leaders or people that have additional responsibilities in the care setting. It could include people who have some supervisory roles or are involved in long–term care planning for the people they care for.
It is for those who are experienced carers with an understanding of the care sector.
This is the recognised minimum qualification advised by CQC and Skills for Care for care staff.
The qualification can be applied to carers in any care setting including residential homes, nursing homes, domiciliary/home care, learning disabilities and hospitals.
